I have a disclaimer to make. I’m not your doctor. Even though I am a medical doctor, I can’t be your doctor. Medical licensing is different in each state. In spite of the new telemedicine laws, I believe that I need to physically see you in order to take care of you as a patient.
I am functioning as your health coach. The advice that I’m giving to you has to be used with your personal medical information, which I do not have.
You still have to work with your doctor while you implement the information from this site, my emails, and my courses. Your doctor needs to know that you’re trying to make changes in your diabetes by doing a program like this.
These lifestyle changes can have a profound effect on your blood sugars. Weight loss alone can affect your medication dosing. You may need to have your meds changed or reduced periodically to compensate for your lower blood sugars. And please, check your blood sugars regularly and inform your doctor of any low blood sugar readings. Please get the lab tests and use the meds that your doctor suggests.
You need to let your doctor know quickly if you’re experiencing low blood sugar readings or any signs of hypoglycemia (fatigue, lightheadedness, sweating, nausea, dizziness, or mood changes). These are signs that your meds need to be decreased quickly.
I am your health coach to help you on this path of controlling your diabetes with less or even no meds.
